About

The project for a 15th birthday party, developed in collaboration with architecture firm Deborah Pinheiro, was inspired by the concept of optical art and the facades of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in London. The architectural conception of the structure was predominantly red, while the graphic design explored the optical illusion with moving circles, reflected in the wall panels, the dance floor and the invitations, both virtual and printed. For the printed invitation, fractured circles were used in vertical lines, creating a dynamic visual effect that was intensified by the transparency of the acrylic box that replaced the traditional envelope.

In addition, the same visual typology was applied to the long strips of fabric on the façade leading to the party. The printed invitation used red and pink colors with localized varnish, and more than 10 prototypes were made to choose the weight of the paper and the transparent material that would provide the desired optical effect. The combination of these elements resulted in a unique and interactive visual experience for the guests.
